Mantrailing
Discover the excitement of mantrailing with us, where you and your dog team up to explore new paths, solve mysteries, and turn every outing into an adventure. Ready to see where your dog’s nose can take you?
What is mantrailing?
Mantrailing is a sport teaching dogs to find people by following their unique scent trail. All dog’s have a natural ability to hunt and therefore Mantrailing provides them with an outlet to do this in a safe, controlled and constructive way.
We teach them how to harness their amazing sense of smell and turn it into a super fun activity for pet dog and owner teams to do together as a sport for fun.
Is it for me?
Mantrailing is a low impact sport, which unlike some sports means there is less pressure and stress on your dogs joints. As well as providing physical exercise, Mantrailing also engages your dog’s incredible olfactory senses, giving them an intense mental workout.
Most importantly, its fantastic fun for both you and your dog. You will never get tired of the buzz from a successful search!

Introduction Workshop
We run regular introduction workshops designed to get you started on your Mantrailing Journey. No prior training or experience is necessary. We’ll teach you everything you need to know to get started in what we know will be your new favourite sport. Intro workshops run for approximately 3 hours and are a prerequisite for progression sessions. A maximum of 6 dog & handler teams can attend, you can sign up for the waiting list if you miss out. Be warned! It’s addictive!
Progression Sessions
Dogs at any level can join in on progressions sessions, your instructor will adapt the trails to suit your and your dogs needs. Sessions are run every weekly for approx 3 hours, and are limited to 6 teams. Since we tailor every session to the team in front of us, it doesn’t matter if you can’t come every time or switch sessions between weeks. Novice dogs will run several, short trails whereas more experienced teams complete fewer trails that are longer and/or a little more challenging.
Skills Workshops
Do you struggle with lead handling? This can be particularly challenging if your dog is fast on the trail or the trailing area is heavily wooded. From mastering the intricacies of controlling a lead to understanding your dog’s unique response to different terrains, we’ll equip you with the knowledge and skills to confidently navigate challenging scenarios. Don’t miss this opportunity to embark on a rewarding journey, where you’ll enhance the bond with your dog while conquering lead handling.
